Two plumbers.
One problem.
Two years ago in Middlesbrough my boiler broke. It took two weeks to fix, not because the plumber couldn't do the work, but because he was always mid-job when I called.
Later, in Manchester, a plumber had me answer his ringing phone on loudspeaker while he was under my kitchen sink. He told me he'd have lost that job if he hadn't picked up right then.
"I never know where the next job is coming from."Six months of building in public and speaking with dozens of plumbers turned up the other half of it: plenty of trades don't get enough calls to begin with, and when they do run ads they can't follow up fast enough, so the leads go cold.
